It's always a good time to join scouting. If you know any families ready to get involved in scouting, have them call Nancy Sharma at 703-378-4296!
Scouting is a family activity. All parents are expected to volunteer to assist the pack in some capacity. For a description of pack volunteer positions, please see Adult Roles.
Current High Needs
We still have many slots open. Go take a look at the directory and adult role pages for more information. If every parent takes on some job, no one job will be very time consuming!
Priority roles that I'd like to see filled for the moment are:
- Cubmaster – This role involves holding monthly committee meetings, presiding over the monthly pack meetings, and assisting the flow of information in the pack.
- Assistant Cubmaster – Help the Cubmaster with the above.
- Join Scouting Night – This role involves getting agreement with the school to have a join scouting table at back to school night on September 28, gathering information from interested families, preparing flyers, and interfacing with NCAC.
- Special Events Chair – This role can be whatever you want to make it. You can organize outings and activities for the pack yourself or get people to agree to organize one activity and help them navigate how to do it. It would be great to do something as a pack every month or two outside of the pack meeting.
